Montgomery Clean City Commission Welcomes New Director

Post Date:11/14/2017 3:22 PM

The Montgomery Clean City Commission introduced its new executive director, Amanda Miller, who follows Susan Carmichael’s 42 years of dedicated service with the agency.

Born in San Luis Obispo, Calif., Miller grew up in Wilmington, N.C. and attended the University of Kansas, where she met her husband and Wetumpka native, Kyle Miller.

After graduating in 2013, Miller worked for the American Cancer Society, leading her to discover her true passion for the nonprofit field. ACS not only gave her the chance to do personally meaningful work, but it also allowed her to relocate to Alabama.

Working for ACS led to opportunities in nonprofit fundraising and volunteer management during the last five years, most recently with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. With a desire to focus on an organization that will allow more personal growth and more direct service, Miller looks forward to using her skills of relationship building and growth to make a positive impact on Montgomery Clean City Commission.
