Post Date:11/21/2017 2:52 PM

The City of Montgomery will host the official lighting ceremony for the Capital City’s Christmas Tree on November 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Lister Hill Plaza across from City Hall. Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange and the Montgomery City Council invite all residents and visitors to attend the free, family-friendly event.

WHAT: City of Montgomery Christmas Tree Lighting;

WHERE: Lister Hill Plaza across from Montgomery City Hall;

WHEN: November 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Generously donated by Jim Wilson and Associates, the 35 feet tall red cedar was harvested from the Park Crossing neighborhood in Montgomery. Mayor Strange will light the tree at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday. This year, the tree will have a spectacular light display after the initial lighting. Prior to the lighting, the Montgomery Chorale will perform and Santa will be on-hand for photographs. Organizers will provide free cookies, punch and hot chocolate – depending on the temperature.
