This Spring The City of Montgomery will release a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking proposals for the sale and development for all or a portion of approximately 2.27 acres of real property located at 1501 Maxwell Boulevard (the Property).
This Request for Proposals (RFP) for Sale and Development seeks to identify individuals/teams desiring to purchase and to develop the property as part of the City’s efforts to revitalize Maxwell Boulevard more broadly, and the area just outside the main gate of Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base more specifically. RFP Responders should propose a realistic and feasible use or uses for the site while working to support community goals and objectives.
The property is valued at $2.00 per square foot based on an appraisal conducted in late 2017 by Valbridge Property Advisors.
The expected minimum purchase price for the whole parcel is $198,000.
The City’s goal is to see the Property developed as a whole; however, proposals that divide the Property or for only a portion of the Property may be considered if they are in line with the overall goal and objectives of the area and RFP.
