Relationships are key in the professional world ... and everywhere. Yet, it’s hard to build a relationship with a co-worker who gets on your nerves or a negative and demanding customer who won’t listen to reason. Knowing yourself, your team, your manager, and your organization are keys to personal and professional success. What were once labeled soft skills are now modern requirements in today's workplace. Building Relationships explores the idea of personality and how to use some basic, simple tools to better understand ourselves and those around us. We will use a simple personality model to identify our own preferences and the preferences of others. As we learn to understand each other’s preferences, we can adjust the ways in which we communicate with people helping us to build better relationships.
