The Montgomery City-County Personnel Board was created to administer classified services for local government and is governed by a three member board. One board member is appointed by the mayor of the city of Montgomery, one by the Montgomery county commission and one by the majority of circuit judges and the probate judge of Montgomery county.

Duties Include: 

  • Provides the basis for all personnel actions through established rules and regulations.
  • Provides for equal opportunity  employment and  for fair and equal treatment of employees.
  • Provides rights of review and appeal.
