MINOR EQUIPMENT VIOLATION

Local municipal ordinances may allow you to have certain equipment violations repaired and your charge dismissed. You will need to present the citation issued and the repaired vehicle to the Municipal Court no later than the court appearance date for inspection of the vehicle. The following equipment violations can be repaired and inspected.

1. IMPROPER LIGHTS (BRAKE, TAG, HEAD LIGHT, REAR LIGHT)
2. EXCESSIVE SMOKE
3. IMPROPER WINDOW TINT

Any person cited with a violation listed below shall not be convicted upon producing valid proof to the court. Upon the first violation docketed in this court, the charge will be nol-prossed (dismissed) without court cost. When the same person is charged with the offense within a calendar year, he shall be required to pay court cost of $103.00 upon dismissal of the charge. When the person is charged with the third or subsequent offense, he shall be required to pay court costs of $103.00 upon dismissal of the charge.
