FIREFIGHTER'S PRAYER

When I am called to duty God wherever flames may rage. Give me strength to save some life whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late. Or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout. And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me. To guard my every neighbor and protect his property. And if according to my fate, I am to lose my life. Please bless with your protecting hand my children and my wife.

Chaplain - Eric Jackson

Eric Jackson serves both the Police and Fire Departments as the Chaplain. He sees to the daily operations of the Chaplaincy Program. Reverand Jackson has 2 chaplains working under him. Nick Sebastian is the Assistant Chaplain serving the Fire Department and Rev. Freeman Walker is the Assistant Chaplain serving the Police Chaplain.

Assistant Chaplain - Nick Sebastain

Retired volunteer Chaplain Nick Sebastian,Spent four years as a combat Marine during Viet Nam. After college he spent a thirty year career as a construction manager, where he had the opportunity to work along side with various Fire Marshals on commerical projects. Chaplain Nick Sebastian spent two years as a VIP volunteer at the Montgomery Police Crime Lab. From that he got to become a member of Montgomery's Cops and Firefighters for Christ, where he met a number of Firefighters and soon learned where his heart was for a Fire Chaplaincy. Since the 1st of 2006 he has been a volunteer Chaplain for MFD.
