The purpose of the Architectural Review Board is to review all requests for exterior changes to historic structures and surface improvements to historic properties to ensure the planned improvements are consistent with the architectural and historical character of the individual structure and the neighborhood in which it is located. This is to provide for property improvements while preserving and protecting the uniqueness of the neighborhood and the investment of the property owners.
All planned improvements to historically designated properties must have prior approval of the Architectural Review Board even if a building permit is not required.
