The Central Alabama Law Enforcement Committee (CALEC) is composed of highly motivated Police Departments and Sheriffs Offices that are concerned with saving lives through traffic enforcement. There are presently 15 member agencies. Those agencies interested in membership should review the Policy and Procedure Manual.
As members of the Governors Traffic Safety Task Force, the CALEC has been instrumental in assisting the State with goals set forth in the Highway Safety Plan.
