The Traffic Engineering Staff is responsible for insuring the safe operation of traffic flow in the City of Montgomery. We conduct studies for the warrant of stop signs, traffic signals, speed humps and rumble strips. We also conduct inspections for developmental and subdivision plans. Issue dumpster permits, work with Alabama Power Company in the approval and/or upgrading of residential street lights. Handle sight obstructions, basketball goals, and similar type complaints.
