Grab your lawn chairs, your neighbors, friends, and family and come to Gateway Park on May 17th, for our Annual National Night Out Kickoff. This year we’ve added a Neighborhood Parade and a Dessert Showcase! We are so excited about these additions, but we need you to make it a success. The deadline to request a banner for the neighborhood parade will May 10th. Please direct questions concerning the parade to Mahogany Cromartie at 625-2093. The dessert showcase will be a fun way to display some “cooks” in your neighborhoods. We ask that each item include a list of ingredients to be sure we don’t share anything that anyone may be allergic to; so be sure to bring a list of ingredients (not the recipe) to be shared with consumers. In addition, we have invited elected officials to be a part of this event to share issues on a district level, so be prepared to hear from those that are working on your behalf in the community.
