Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning one lot located on the north side of East South Boulevard, approximately 1300 feet west of Narrow Lane Road, from an O-1 (Office) Zoning District to a B-2-Q (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning District; restricted to a Childcare Center (aka 1245 East South Boulevard.  Applicant requested B-2.  Planning Commission recommended B-2-Q; restricted to Childcare Center.  No Appeal Received.  (RZ-2025-005)  

28. Hearing on proposed Ordinance amending Appendix C – Zoning, Article II – Enforcement, Section 4. Certificate of Occupancy Required.  Recommended by Planning Commission.  (Text Amendment)

29. Application for a Towing Company by Christopher Croskey, d/b/a Black Diamond Emergency Roadside & Recovery.  (6)

NEW BUSINESS

30. Review of All Out Towing, 3783 Wares Ferry Road.  Sponsored by Councillor Beard.

31. Ordinance amending Chapter 27 of Code of Ordinance of the COM to add Article VI, Regulating Dangerous Pedestrian Conduct in Pub lic Rights-of-Way.  (Sponsored by Councillor Beard & Councillor Szymanski)

32. Resolution affirming the Intent of the COM to enter into an Agreement with Jackson HealthCare and its Parent Company, Jackson Investment Group, as part of a Partnership with Montgomery County to ensure the continuity and viability of Healthcare Services to the Citizens of Montgomery.

33. Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contracts without Council Approval.  (Sponsored by Councillor Calhoun)

34. Resolution assenting to the Vacation of a portion of Lawrence Street between Randolph Street and Columbus Street.

35. Resolution authorizing the COM to join the City of Tuscaloosa in Litigation against the Alabama Department of Revenue regarding the Simplified Sellers Use Tax (SSUT) Program.

36. Resolution authorizing the Mayor to make application to Delta Regional Authority for a Grant for $450,000 for funding the Fairview Collective; City’s matching share is $150,000.

37. Application for an Event Center by Cornelius Burton & Charlie Burton, d/b/a Venue 19 Event Space, 19 South Court Street.  (3)

38. Application for a Conference Center by Billy Summerlin, d/b/a Summerlin’s Place, 315 W. Fleming Road.  (4)

39. Resolution reappointing Jeff Jones to the Parks & Recreation Board by Councillor Johnson.

40. Resolution appointing Angela Calvin to the Housing Authority by Councillor Johnson replacing Mattie Wilkins.
