Bring your own chairs and join us on Friday, July 4th at the Riverfront Amphitheater from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm to hear The 151st Alabama Army National Guard Band perform patriotic classics and newer hits followed by a spectacular display of fireworks over the Alabama River. We will have several food vendors available from boiled peanuts, specialty popcorn, snow cones and lemonade. This will be a fun, family event to remember.

Clear Bag Policy
The Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Montgomery, Alabama has instituted a "Clear Bag Policy." The Clear Bag Policy requires attendees of City Events to use clear bags to bring in their belongings. The purpose of the policy aims is to prevent hazardous items from entering the event or program venue or space. Clear bags must generally have transparent material that security personnel can easily search.
Why Is the Policy Important?
Security is of the utmost importance to the City of Montgomery when large crowds gather for City Events. Anything can happen in public settings, so taking the necessary precautions is important. A clear bag policy is important because it helps reduce the risk of security threats by enabling security officials to quickly search bags without hindering the flow of people coming into or leaving the venue.
Clear Bag Requirements:

Only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are approved, including diaper, backpacks, handbags, cinch, purses, cross fit, fanny packs, and plastic freezer

There should be no colored or tinted designs that may obstruct the view of the contents inside

No logos, buckles, grommets, hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag

Weapons, sharp objects, non-clear bags and drugs are prohibited

Every member of a group is entitled to bring a permissible bag
Exception:

The exception to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items

Security will be present at event or program entrances to screen the bags and medically necessary items

Once items pass security screening, guests may bring medically necessary items into the event, program, or venue
Other City Events Entry Requirements:

Blankets will need to be tossed over a shoulder or arm to go through screening

Folding chairs will be searched

An adult must accompany minor children (ages 17 and under)

One (1) adult is required for every four (4) minor children

Dress Code Enforcement
To maintain a respectful and family-friendly atmosphere, the City of Montgomery enforces a strict Dress Code at City Events, and all attendees are expected to adhere to the guidelines.
Guests must be:

Fully clothed and wear shoes

Clothing should not display offensive, inappropriate or vulgar language or imagery

Clothing must cover essential body parts and should not be too revealing or provocative
Guests Can Be Turned Away for the Following:

Carrying bags that do not meet policy criteria

Not having an adult chaperone to accompany minor children

Not having enough adults to accompany a group of over four (4) children

Having prohibited items in bag or on your person

Wearing clothing that does not adhere to the Dress Code

Visible impairment or intoxication from drugs and/or alcohol

Please note that by entering an event of the City of Montgomery, you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.
As such, your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the City of Montgomery and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.
By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.
You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent. If you do not agree to the aforementioned, please do not enter the event premises.
