OLD BUSINESS

1. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning one parcel of land located on the east side of Wares Ferry Road, approximately 2600 feet north of Atlanta Highway, from an AGR-1 (Residential Agriculture) Zoning District to an M-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District.  Recommended by the Planning Commission.  (RZ-2019-012)

2. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning one lot located on the southwest corner of South Perry Street and Howard Street from R-75-s (Single-Family Residential) and R-65-m (Multi-Family Residential) Zoning Districts to a B-1-b-Q (Central Business-Qualified) Zoning District.  Planning Commission took no action due to a failed vote, therefore there is no recommendation to rezone.  APPEALED.  (RZ-2019-010)

3. Ordinance authorizing Lease of Union Station, Train Shed and Adjoining Grounds to the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc.

4. Resolution authorizing Incorporation of Montgomery Exposition Cooperative District, Election of Directors and authorization for certain actions.

5. Resolution appointing W. Alan Worrell to the Montgomery Public Educational Building Authority replacing Farrell J. Duncombe, Sr.  (Sponsored by Councillor Jinright)

6. Resolution appointing Jimmie N. Varnado to the Montgomery Public Educational Building Authority replacing Claude Douglas.  (Sponsored by Councillor Jinright)

7. Resolution appointing E. Lloyd Faulkner to the Montgomery Public Educational Building Authority replacing Quinton O. Hawkins.  (Sponsored by Councillor Jinright)

NEW BUSINESS


8. Ordinance granting a Franchise to Knology of Montgomery, Inc. to construct, operate, and maintain a Cable System in the COM setting forth conditions accompanying the grant of the franchise; providing for Regulation and Use of the System and the Public ROW and prescribing penalties for the violation of the provisions.

9. Resolution authorizing a public hearing on the proposed Ordinance amending Section 5-11 of the Code of Ordinances adopting the National Electrical Code 2020 Edition for January 7, 2020.

10. Ordinance amending Section 5-11 Adoption of electrical code and adopting the National Electrical code, 2020 Edition.  (To be carried over for action following the January 7, 2020 Public Hearing.)

11. Resolution authorizing a Public Hearing on the proposed Ordinance amending Section 5-123 – Permit inspection fees of the Code of Ordinance for January 7, 2020.

12. Ordinance amending Section 5-123 – Permit inspection fees.  (To be carried over for action following January 7, 2020 Public Hearing.)

13. Resolution authorizing agreement with ALDOT for Downtown Montgomery Pedestrian Lighting Improvements from the intersection of Monroe Street & Bainbridge Street  to North Union, turn south along South Union Street to Washington Avenue (TAPMN-TA18(935).

14. Resolution authorizing agreement with ALDOT for Improvements to Lighting at the Capitol Complex – Phase II, on Monroe Street from South Decatur Street to North Union Street, and on Washington Avenue from South Bainbridge Street to South Union Street (TQPAA-TA19(918).

15. Resolution revoking Business License for failure to pay Sales Tax and authorizing Show Cause Hearing for Charles and Essence Phenix, d/b/a Smoothie King, 7026 Eastchase Parkway.

16. Resolution denying and/or revoking right to operate a business for failure to purchase a Business License for Jon Barker, d/b/a Action Buys Cars, 1624 Mt. Meigs Road.

17. Application for an Alternative Transportation Service by Cynthia Thomas, d/b/a Reliable Transportation Services, 2650 East South Boulevard.

18. Application for Retail Beer & Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) by Fairview 2019 Inc., d/b/a Gas Depot, 30 West Fairview Avenue.

19. Resolution reappointing the Mayor to the Emergency Communications District Board of Commissioners.  (Sponsored by Councillor Jinright)

20. Pursuant to Section 11-53-B-1 et Seq., Code of Alabama, authorization of demolition of unsafe structures at the following locations:

21. Resolution declaring public nuisances, authorizing immediate abatement and assessing cost of abatement of public nuisances on various lots pursuant to Chapter 12 of Code of Ordinances.
