City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department Announces Changes to Public Pool Hours
The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department announces the conclusion of its Summer Program and the subsequent changes to public pool hours at all locations.
From July 29 to August 1, all three public pools will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Following this period, the hours will adjust for August. Gunter Pool will operate Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sheridan Heights Community Center will be open on weekends only, on Saturday from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. & Sunday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. After August 1, the McIntyre Pool will close for the season.
Residents can enjoy swimming at three locations: Gunter Pool at 2390 Cong W L Dickinson Dr., Sheridan Heights Community Center at 3501 Faro Dr., and McIntyre Community Center at 1249 Hugh St. Please note that the splash pad at the Riverwalk is not yet open, and a date for its opening has not been set.
Changing rooms and restrooms are available on site for the convenience of our guests. The City wants all citizens to remain safe while having a great time at the pools. For any questions, please call 334-625-2300.
