Montgomery, Ala. — The City of Montgomery is gearing up for an inspiring evening as Mayor Steven L. Reed hosts the 2026 State of the City Address on Tuesday, February 10, at Vaughn Forest Church. This free event invites residents to hear firsthand about Montgomery’s progress, the major wins of 2025, and the Mayor’s bold vision for the year ahead.
This year’s theme, “Montgomery Momentum,” reflects of the city’s transformation from potential to progress—driving growth, innovation, and a stronger, more connected community.

- Open House: Begins at 5:00 PM
Residents will have the opportunity to meet members of Mayor Reed’s Cabinet and City department leaders in an interactive forum. This open house-style session allows attendees to ask questions, learn about ongoing projects, and discover resources that impact their neighborhoods.
- Mayor’s Address: Starts at 6:30 PM
Mayor Reed will take the stage to share updates on Montgomery’s progress, highlight key accomplishments from 2025, and outline his vision for 2026 and beyond.
