The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department, Montgomery County, and the Town of Pike Road have partnered to develop a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and community input will play a defining role in shaping its future. Residents across the region are encouraged to participate in a newly launched online survey that will help guide decisions on parks, recreation programs, facilities, and long-term investments.
The survey—quick, accessible, and open to all—invites residents to share what they value most in local parks and recreation offerings, what improvements they would like to see, and what new opportunities they believe would strengthen quality of life in their communities. Feedback will directly influence priorities related to playgrounds, sports facilities, walking and biking trails, programming, events, and the development of healthier, more connected neighborhoods.
“Public input is essential to ensuring that this plan reflects the real needs and aspirations of our residents—not assumptions,” the project’s organizers emphasized. “The more voices we hear, the stronger and more community-driven this plan will be.”
Local officials are encouraging widespread participation to help build a long-term vision for parks and recreation services that reflects community priorities.
