
Jon Dow graduated from Jeffersontown High school in 1978 and then enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base. In 1996 became the BONDS Program first Director until 2005. He then served as the Executive Director for the West Anniston Community Development Corporation. Jon retired from the 187th Fighter Wing at Dannelly Field after serving 24 years and two tours to the Middle East.
In 1996 Jon graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology. In 2016 Jon received his master’s degree in leadership management from Troy University and is currently enrolled in Liberty University’s Master Degree Non-Profit Management program.
From August 23, 2010, to Nov. 6, 2015, Jon served on the Montgomery City Council District 6. On September 5, 2023, Jon became the Director of Neighborhood Services for the City of Montgomery and oversees 311, Montgomery’s non-emergency City Services number where Montgomery residents can report issues such as graffiti, overgrown grass or potholes, finding out where to vote, as well as information on events, programs and agencies within the City of Montgomery.
