The Community Development Division is responsible for the disbursement of federal, state, and local funds to low-to-moderate income individuals and families within Montgomery.

Community Development oversees the following programs:

• Emergency Shelter Grants
• Community Revitalization
• Partnership Building + Collaboration
• Citywide Homelessness Initiative

The Housing Development Division manages and coordinates housing programs to promote safe, affordable, and accessible housing.  The division provides guidance to residents seeking housing assistance, oversees fair housing compliance, and partners with developers to increase affordable housing options.  The division also works to secure funding through grants and administers programs through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships to serve low-to-moderate income populations.
