District 7 Streetscape Design and Masterplans

The Economic Development Division is currently managing three infrastructure improvement and master-planning projects in District 7 with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds dedicated by Councilor Szymanski in 2024. These projects focus on infrastructure, connectivity and walkability, safety and streetscape design, neighborhood revitalization, re-investment and overall quality of life. These projects are all designed to be informed by the public, so please see the information below and join us in person at an upcoming public meeting or reach out via the provided contacts.

Carter Hill & College Streets

The project is to create a streetscape master plan for a specific section of Carter Hill Road and College Street. Neighborhood and stakeholder outreach and engagement are critical project elements to develop the plan.

East Fairview

Greater Floyd Campus

The project is to create an overall master plan representing the community’s vision to revitalize a “campus” area that includes two closed schools, various community center buildings, and the City’s Therapeutic Recreation Center, which is currently under renovation. Neighborhood and stakeholder outreach and engagement are critical project elements to develop the plan.
