Please note, however, that cases may be weakened if the complainant is unwilling to participate in follow-up hearings after an investigation.
Identified Complaints: Unless a complainant wishes to remain anonymous, they must provide enough information to confirm their identity, including name, address, and a telephone number.
Employee Complaints: Employees may also report wrongdoing to a supervisor, who will forward the matter to the IG in accordance with this directive. Any complaint received by a City department will be referred to the Department of Inspector General for further action.
Follow-Up: The Department of Inspector General will contact complainants as soon as possible after a complaint has been reviewed and processed.
