Municipal Jail Corrections Officers (Lateral Transfer) Application: $22.73 - $29.66/hour

Municipal Jail Corrections Officer Trainees Application: $18.55/hour

Records/Identification Clerks Application: $14.66 - $22.17/hour

School Patrol Officers Application: $13.11 - $19.83/hour

Leave Time

• Vacation: 13 days per year; number of days per year increases with longevity

College Incentive Program

MPD employees enrolled in a Criminal Justice or any related course of study. (i.e. Management, Accounting etc.) Montgomery Police Department pays 100% Tuition for Sworn officers if they attend AUM or Troy. If they attend Faulkner they get a 50% discount for Sworn and administrative staff. At Faulkner Children of full-time MPD employees are also eligible for significant educational assistance through Faulkner’s on-ground traditional program at its Montgomery campus.
