Alia Gordon has been an educator for eight years and currently teaches 1st grade. She is passionate about fostering a love of learning in her students and creating a classroom environment that is safe, engaging, and inclusive. Alia specializes in literacy development, social-emotional learning, and differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each child.

She enjoys every moment of helping her students grow academically and personally. The most rewarding part of her career is supporting children as they build confidence in their abilities and develop a lifelong curiosity for learning. Alia is also deeply committed to her own personal growth, continually seeking ways to expand her knowledge and skills to better serve her students.

Alia is dedicated to making a positive impact in her school and community and is especially inspired by Montgomery’s vibrant HBCU community.
