Ashlen Nettles is a proud Montgomery native and Faulkner University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Alabama State University as she continues to expand her leadership and operational expertise.

With more than a decade of experience across legal administration, nonprofit operations, and executive leadership support, Ashlen has built a career focused on strengthening organizations, improving internal systems, and supporting initiatives that create meaningful community impact. Her professional background includes working alongside executive leadership in both municipal government and nonprofit environments. She previously served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor and City Manager of Tuskegee, Alabama, where she gained valuable insight into municipal leadership and community engagement. Most recently, she served as Director of Administrative Services for a Montgomery-based nonprofit organization.

Ashlen currently serves on the Executive Board of the Mayor’s Young Professional Council (MYPC) as Chair of Projects and Initiatives, where she leads efforts that connect young professionals to civic engagement, leadership development, and collaborative initiatives that support Montgomery’s continued growth.

Passionate about service and community impact, Ashlen enjoys building meaningful professional relationships across the city and contributing to initiatives that help move Montgomery forward. Outside of her professional and civic involvement, she enjoys traveling, writing, storytelling, and building projects that encourage personal growth and community connection. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, their children, and their three golden doodles.
