CharaieCelia Hamilton is an assistant principal at McIntyre Comprehensive Academy and has spent several years in education. Prior to her career in administration, Ms. Hamilton worked as a Montgomery Public Schools English teacher.
Ms. Hamilton holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master’s degree in English Education, and a Juris Doctorate. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy and Law. With her expertise in public policy, she is excited to serve as Co-Chair of the MYPC Policy Committee.
Outside of her professional work, Ms. Hamilton is a pageant judge and has held various titles, including Miss Alabama State University 2011-2012 and Miss Black Alabama USA 2018. She also serves as Director of the Children’s Ministry at her church and is a member of various organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She uses her memberships and leadership roles as opportunities to positively impact teachers, students, and the Montgomery community.
Ms. Hamilton comes from a family of educators. Her mother, Celia Hamilton, and her uncle, Wilbert Hamilton, have each served in education for more than 33 years. She is committed to making a positive impact in education for years to come.
