The process of creating a new flag must be implemented in a positive way that will continue to move our great city in a forward direction. As we look towards the future, history remains. While we will always remember it, the Council agrees that it is time to move forward with fresh ideas and encourage unity that will preserve the greatness of our capitol city. With this goal, we must be intentional and detail oriented as we seek to create a piece of art that supports a climate of peace, pride, and cohesiveness for all citizens of Montgomery.
The designer of the new flag must be a resident of the City of Montgomery, Alabama. The designer will submit their entry to the City Clerk by June 21, 2025 by 5 p.m.; only 1 entry per person. Please see the attached notice in the Public Notice. |
